Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!
I am very exctied and honored to be one of the counselor’s at Eanes Elementary School this year. I have have been in education for many years and have had a variety of roles and responsibilities. One significant role was being a special education teacher at Eanes Elementary. I have always enjoyed working with elementary school children and Eanes has always had a special place in my heart. I have fond memories for Eanes Elementary both as a parent and a staff member. My two grown children spent many years here at Eanes; as students, in after school programs, and with extra-curricular involvements.
I have an undergraduate degree from The University of Northern Colorado with a double major in elementary education and special education. I grew up in Littleton, Colorado but with parents who were both from Texas, was taught that I was really a Texan who grew up in Colorado. I have a Masters of Education from Texas State University. Spring 2015, I graduated from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest with a Masters of Arts in Counseling. During the 2015-2016 school year, I worked in East Texas for Burke, Mental Health Services, as a therapist. I provided counseling services to both children and adults.
I am thrilled to have the opportunity to return to Eanes Elementary as a counselor. I look forward to working closely with Mrs. Corbett this year and getting to know the students and families.
